event: National Conference on Ending Family Homelessness 2009

Start Date: February 12, 2009

Location:  San Diego, California

Date and Time:  Thursday, February 12th and Friday, February 13th

The National Alliance to End Homelessness is gearing up for its fifth national conference aimed specifically at ending homelessness among families.

In today's economic climate, some communities are seeing more families becoming homeless. This challenge, however, also provides opportunities. People working on homelessness have developed an impressive track record and new political leaders will be looking for meaningful and practical new undertakings.

Amid these trends and counter-trends, the Alliance is hosting its 2009 National Conference on Ending Family Homelessness, Making Progress in a Time of Challenges, in San Diego, CA on February 12-13, 2009. This conference will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn about the most effective practices and to share what is happening in their community, so that we can work together to put an end to family homelessness. Registration for the conference is tentatively scheduled to open in late fall.

For further information about Making Progress in a Time of Challenge, please visit the conference website or contact D'Arcy Klingle at 202-942-8287 or dklingle@naeh.org.
